I added Pandora to this AV Controller App, but now I can't figure out how to remove Pandora! Overall I have enjoyed this app. By the way to find the IP address of the Yamaha receiver, you have to go to the setup screen. I have a small TV screen above the receiver to help view the settings; also without the remote it is difficult. Oh, (ding!) I think I get it; I have to work on the receiver itself to remove or add apps like Pandora.

Let's say I want a dedicated audio system with no TV. Can I use this app to control the Yamaha BD-A1040 player and navigate the players menu without needing a TV?

recently bought the av 830- wireless… I installed software and it worked great ( very impressed) until it could not find the device at a later date (only demo mode was avail). To fix it  I had to go into phone setting under app and force stop.  Immediately after that it began detecting the device…. not sure how often this will occur but if that is all I need to get it running I am fine. That app make playing musing form my server  and av receiver     wirelessly  is awesome

Today not many people actually download MP3s and play them at home. I don't have single MP3 in my phone or NAS.. because there is a thing called Youtube 🙂 I have all playlists there. Till this app can't stream at least sound (video like WiDi/Airplay would be perfect) from YT to AV, I'm not interested at all…

App works great for me.  One problem.  How do I change bass and treble for zone 2?  I listen to music in my pool area, speakers feed from zone 2…but there are no settings or equalizer that I can find.

I like this! My 2-zone Onkyo has been dying for months… Just got my RX-V675 (had to wait for its release, knew it was coming, so didn't want the older 673) – I have 5.1 inside, and use the other 2 channels for zone2. Now, I have source / volume / Pandora, etc control outside. This is perfect; in the past, I've bought RF controllers with RF "blinky" IR emitters that I had to stick on my main stereo to control from another room. Yay!

P.S. Does anyone want to buy a bunch of IR stuff?

This video helped. The app on my Android stopped detecting my RX-V473. I manually set the DHCP IP address in the app as shown in the video. In my router setup, I reserved that IP address for my Yamaha receiver .

I own the the AV673 and I use the app mutilple times daily. I wish I could help. I use the app on my andriod devices e.g. Samsung Tablet and HTC 4G Phone with out issue, I think even if the App didn't work I would keep the receiver. Its just a beautiful sounding easy use peice of equipment.
